We just discovered Between the Bars, a remarkable project that enables inmates from prisons across the country to publish blogs online. Because prisoners often have limited internet access, the site's directors accept handwritten or typed accounts, which they scan onto their website. The public can comment on the blogs, and Between the Bars shares all comments with the blogs' writers.
