The Scars of Stop-and-Frisk |

This terrific short doc sheds light on the controversial stop-and-frisk policy embraced by NYPD. Filmmakers Julie Dressner and Eddie Martinez profile a young Brooklyn native, Tyquan Brehon, who says he had been stopped 60 times before he turned 18. Tyquan's story may not be unusual, given that 87% of the 685,724 people who were stopped and frisked last year were black or Latino men, but his story certainly helps us better understand how the policy affects youth in our city.
