Last fall, WITNESS launched an online Video Advocacy Planning Toolkit designed for activists who are interested in using video to support their cause. This in-depth, 12-chapter Toolkit is one of the most thorough, useful resources we've found to help support documentary advocacy.

WITNESS uses 35 case studies to show examples of effective campaigns, and helps the user determine when and how a video advocacy campaign could work for them. The Toolkit provides critical advice about how to begin, complete and evaluate a campaign. All sound advice, coming from some of the leading experts in video for social change.

The Toolkit doesn't, however, provide training in camera operating, lighting or audio. Fear not! You can find those workshops here at DCTV!
