Bullets in the Hood
"Bullets in the Hood" was Terrence Fisher's response to gun violence in his community in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. He and co-director Daniel Howard made "Bullets in the Hood" while they were students in DCTV's youth media program, PRO-TV. The film had great success, winning awards at Sundance Film Festival and Tribeca Film Festival, as well as a New York Emmy Award - the first youth-produced film to win at the Emmy's. It has also served as a highly effective outreach tool, galvanizing the public to take action against gun violence in their own communities.
